dear grief
a space for writing & processing grief

online via zoom | starting may 2025

dear grief
is for anyone seeking community and guided practice around grief. in this space, we connect to ourselves, each other, and the earth, and engage with writing as a tool for acknowledging, learning from, and processing grief.

we are living through wildly difficult times. most of us are experiencing multiple layers of grief and loss - individually and collectively, directly and vicariously, and in both acute and chronic ways. dear grief provides a regular space to drop into for connection and support, and is an invitation to be with grief in a space held with warmth, welcome, and care.

you do not need to have writing experience or identify as a writer to join. all are welcome <3

  • i am not a therapist and this is not a group therapy space. while this space welcomes feelings and invites you to show up as you are, please arrive with the capacity to self-regulate and take care of yourself and others as you participate in this space.

  • this space welcomes any and all kinds of grief. in this space, grief is defined as an experience arising from any form of loss or change. this includes but is not limited to grief related to death, relationship endings, childhood trauma, aging, shifts in gender, health, or ability, and more. in addition, this space affirms that grief includes an infinite range of experiences, timelines, and emotions, and resists the notion that there is “good” or “bad” grief.

  • this space is open to all <3 this space is open to all <3 this space welcomes the full complexity of everyone who shows up, and the multilayered ways that grief is intertwined with our various identities and lived experiences. collectively, we will honor, acknowledge, and hold with respect and care this complexity, including but not limited to the ways that identity, power, and systemic oppression shape our experiences of loss.
